Monkey Party!

Wow! What a day! AJ had the best birthday party! It was awesome and so much fun!

Thankfully, AJ got a great nap before the party so he was really in a good mood when everyone showed up to the Monkey Birthday Bash:) We had LOTS of kids hanging out helping celebrate. We had 2 pools, the climber, playhouse and lots of toys. It was a HOT day, but thankfully we put up a few canopy's and we were able to stay relatively cool.

Time for presents!

Speaking of presents, people were SOOOO generous! AJ got a wonderful new wagon from Grandma and Grandpa Dave. He loves it! He also got this great little 3-in-1 tricycle from Pop & Grammy Cory. It's a rocker, then a push bike, then when he can reach, we can turn it into a tricycle. He also got some great books, many Vtech toys, some adorable clothes and so much more!

When it came time for cake, we all expected AJ to stuff his face full. He'd never had cake or ice cream before. Well, he did really enjoy the cake, but it took a little time for him to really dig in. He checked it out, played with it tasted it a bit and then finally after I broke a piece off for him, then he really went to town.

I expected that he'd eat the cake and then get a sugar high and then crash. I didn't expect that he'd get a pretty bad stomach ache which then led to very bad diaper rash- ugh! POOR KID! He's never had diaper rash before...until now.

AJ REALLY enjoyed his party. He played with the kids in the playhouse, on the slide, in the pool and just had a blast!
