Always Up For a Challenge

I decided that my life just isn't hectic enough; that I'm going to go back to school to FINALLY get my bachelors degree. It's been a work in progress for many years now and I'm pretty close to finishing my degree in marketing at University of Phoenix. I'll be starting as a senior next week. I'm really looking forward to this, but I'm also a little anxious because these classes are accelerated; they are 5 weeks each! The good thing is that they are all online so I can be doing school work at any time during the day.

Why marketing??? Well, that's a great question! I am the type of person who sadly has never known what I wanted to be when I grew up. Well, I'm 33 and I still don't know! But, a few years back when I was working for Hp I realized that marketing sounded like a possible good fit for me. Now, I'm not so sure. But I figure that since I'm already in that program and I don't want to change it now, that I'll continue with it and then possibly get into teaching. At least once I have my degree I can possibly be a sub or continue on with school and get my teaching credential. We'll see where it takes me, but I know my main focus is just to get my degree.

Going to school and having a baby and a house to take care of will probably be a lot of work, but I know it's possible. My mom offered to help out a lot with AJ and he's still taking 2 naps a day so I should be fine. Sure, the house will probably be dirty, but I guess there are worse things right?

Update!

Yes, it's time for an update on us...well, mainly on AJ :)

Some fun things he's doing:

* AJ's new thing is shaking his head NO whenever he THINKS he doesn't want something that I'm trying to feed him. I say thinks because sometimes he shakes his head and then opens his mouth....Sometimes he shakes his head and I have to hold his chin still and force feed him and then he'll eat it. You could say he's got an attitude. UGH!

* As you can see in the previous video he's really getting daring. He is climbing onto things ALL the time now. He tries to climb on the couch, he climbs onto his car and he would never dream of crawling around anything- he wants to go OVER it.

* Today we went to Little Monkey Bizness (which we do about once a week) and he decided to crawl UP the slide...the ENTIRE way. He's a totally fearless dare devil!

* For whatever reason, AJ has decided to really put a break on eating. I feel like a short order cook! I literally make 3-4 types of meals for him many times a day. I know..I know..I shouldn't do it. Jason tells me this all the time. But I can't have a starving baby! Especially in the middle of the night! So, I try everything. Baby food, PB& J, fish sticks, waffles, pancakes, fruit...ANYTHING that might get some nutrients in his body. It makes for a lot of fun when we go out because I typically have a diaper bag full of food..that gets wasted.

* AJ has not been a fan of milk ever since I stopped nursing (not that I can blame him- I hate milk!) It worries me because I know that he should be drinking A LOT of it and it's really good for him. I've tried whole milk, reduced fat milk and even chocolate milk and he isn't into it. Finally, a friend suggested Soy Milk so I bought some. Well, wouldn't you know it? He loves it! Who knows if regular milk was bothering his tummy or he just didn't like the taste?

* Today, I watched AJ torment our dog. It was truly sad. Buster doesn't like toys that make noise. They scare him and he runs away. Well, AJ started pushing his little Corn Popper car towards him and then when Buster would run, AJ would laugh hysterically! He did it a few times before I realized what he was doing. Poor Buster!!

* Lastly, and probably MOST IMPORTANTLY- AJ is really into this walking thing! I am not sure I should say he IS walking, but he is working so hard at it and totally loves it! He can probably go 15 or 20 feet! He has a smile on his face the entire time and looks so determined! It's just adorable!

Little Car

This little car has been one of the best toys of AJ's. He's learned SO many things while using it. He learned first to push it and walk behind it. Then he learned to walk backwards with it. Now he's learned to get on and off of it. Take a look at this video :)

Gotta love the $5 dollar garage sale toys!

He Walks!

Look what AJ's been doing! He is working SO HARD at this! He's constantly trying to walk...It's sooo cute! I love his arms :)
