Always Up For a Challenge

I decided that my life just isn't hectic enough; that I'm going to go back to school to FINALLY get my bachelors degree. It's been a work in progress for many years now and I'm pretty close to finishing my degree in marketing at University of Phoenix. I'll be starting as a senior next week. I'm really looking forward to this, but I'm also a little anxious because these classes are accelerated; they are 5 weeks each! The good thing is that they are all online so I can be doing school work at any time during the day.

Why marketing??? Well, that's a great question! I am the type of person who sadly has never known what I wanted to be when I grew up. Well, I'm 33 and I still don't know! But, a few years back when I was working for Hp I realized that marketing sounded like a possible good fit for me. Now, I'm not so sure. But I figure that since I'm already in that program and I don't want to change it now, that I'll continue with it and then possibly get into teaching. At least once I have my degree I can possibly be a sub or continue on with school and get my teaching credential. We'll see where it takes me, but I know my main focus is just to get my degree.

Going to school and having a baby and a house to take care of will probably be a lot of work, but I know it's possible. My mom offered to help out a lot with AJ and he's still taking 2 naps a day so I should be fine. Sure, the house will probably be dirty, but I guess there are worse things right?

You are incredible! WEll good luck with this! I've also done the University of Phoenix thing too, but not online (is that what you said you were doing?). I went into their school and I did a certificate course to be a paralegal. yeah....that was several years ago when I was having a phase of wanting to be a lawyerd instead of a musician LOL!! Obviously that was not my lot in life!

Well good luck! I'll be rooting for you. I wished we lived closer and I would love to take AJ to do playdates with Preston while you were in class.

Good job, Kate. That is really good that you're motivated to do so. My older sister who is 23 years old...I mean 24 just graduated with bachelors of science arts or something like that...she studied near eastern studies and took Arabic. She wants to go back to the University of WA for nursing school for a couple of years then try to get into pharmacy. I'm not sure how that is all going to pan out though.

I'm in my sophomore year in high school and after high school, I want to follow in my Mom's footprints and go to nursing school.

Anyhow, I wish you the best, you'll do absolutely great (: You'll also have AJ to help and support you..Haha.
