He's An Artist

We went to the Childrens Museum today and AJ did his very first drawing! I think it's beautiful :) He enjoyed it, but would have preferred just eating the crayons :)

13 Month Update

AJ is more fun every day. He is always laughing, or making these boy, grunting type sounds. He loves people- waving and talking to them anywhere we go. And he is SMART! He knows how to play catch; he'll sit on the ground and consistently roll the ball back and forth with us. He is learning to blow kisses, and we're working on where his toes and his tummy are. Everyday, I feel like he is understanding more of the things that I say to him. We'll be eating and he'll play with his food and I will tell him to put it in his mouth- and he will. If he's standing on his chair, I'll tell him to sit down, and he will (and then of course he stands right back up).

AJ just LOVES to walk. Yesterday we were in Target and when we were leaving, I took him out of the cart and let him walk to my car. He held my hand the whole time, but he did it! The only time I picked him up was when we were crossing the street. I didn't want the cars to have to wait for 10 minutes for us to cross :) Otherwise, we just walked and giggled the entire time. It was so cute!

I'm forever amazed at how in love I am with AJ. I lay in bed at night thinking about our day and just how much joy he brings me. It blows my mind that I could possibly love someone as much as I do. Even on the days when he wakes me up at 5am and is cranky for hours, or when he hits me in the eye with the corner of a book (which he did yesterday), I love him with everything I have. I miss him when he's sleeping or with the babysitter. He's just the best.

On another topic, I have started back to school and it's going pretty well. I'm taking a course on Business Ethics and have had no trouble getting back into the swing of things. Since it's all online, I have been able to find time to write my papers and do the work necessary. Sometimes I do the work in the morning during nap time and other days at night after dinner.

Lastly, I'm getting AJ's 1 year pictures taken on Sunday (yes, a month late) so be on the look out for those!

I wanted to be mad at him for doing this, because he ALWAYS does this and we have to reset our cable and well, it's just not safe....but I had to grab my camera first :)
