AJ was laughing SO hard today that we both had tears in our eyes. I had stomach cramps he was making me laugh so much- it was FANTASTIC! Of course, it was even better before I got out the camera, but here's a little bit. We'll try for more tomorrow.
Now that AJ can crawl and pull himself up, it's ALL he wants to do! He is EVERYWHERE. He crawls so fast, that at times he flops right onto his head! It doesn't bother him though, he just gets up and keeps going. This kid is BUSY! One second he's playing with his toys and the next he's in the kitchen trying to get into the refrigerator before we close the door. I have realized that even though many things in our house are "baby proofed" he will get to ANYTHING that he can; magazines on the coffee table, books that are low to the ground, shoes...anything! He can now pull himself up on pretty much everything; the couch, his Leap Frog standing toy, the dog, my leg, and the stairs (but he hasn't mastered those.. yet!) It's so cute to watch him pull himself up on something and then try to hold on with one hand while he tries to reach for his toy on the ground. I can really see him thinking and it's just amazing. I can't believe that he's already doing all of this!
This past weekend Jason's sister Michele, brother in law Craig and nephew Chase came to visit and we had a great time! They got to experience the crazy Colorado weather; it snowed a few days and then was in the high 60's by the time they left. Chase was really looking forward to snow and he had a great time sledding, making snowballs and shoveling our driveway. He was also SO wonderful with AJ. It was adorable to watch them play together. Even though Chase is 8, he didn't mind playing with AJ and was so gentle and loving with him. I loved watching AJ look up to Chase when they were playing.
While they were here, we went to the Museum of Nature and Science, did some shopping, played a lot of ping pong and one day Jason took AJ and Chase to our rec center pool. We all had a great time and appreciate them coming out!
