Weekend Fun!

AJ & I had a wonderful weekend together. I am already learning that since I don't see him as much as I used to, to make the times we do have very fun and special. I look forward to weekends where we can go to parks, or the zoo, or just some place that we enjoy.

On Saturday, we went up to the Aurora Reservoir which is about 30 minutes away. There's an actual beach there, along with a snack bar, boats, and roped off water that isn't more than a few feet deep. There are no waves so AJ can just play and have fun. There is also this fantastic playground there that AJ played on for over an hour!

After naps we headed over to hang out with Mamna and Papa for a few hours and they got to show him off to some of their friends. He was a very good boy and had a lot of fun.

Today, we got a late start, but we finally got moving and went up to Highlands Ranch. They have this great farmers market on Sundays and AJ got to play around, taste some yummy food and just enjoy a nice summer day. After lunch, we made our way over to this new park that Holly told me about- Civic Green Park. It is amazing! They have this great fountain that squirts water up in the air and kids can play in it. AJ didn't get into it as much as I thought he would, but he enjoyed filling up his bucket of water and dumping it. He also loved running away from the water when it would turn on and off. We will go back there for sure!
