They flew in on Thursday night and at the last minute we were able to get a sitter and meet them at a local restaurant for a late dinner and some drinks. We talked and ate and had a good time. Friday morning they took off early up to Breck- about 2 hours away- because they were going to ski that day. Jason and I had decided that we'd leave at AJ's nap time; around 9am.
We got to the mountain, checked into our timeshare and unloaded our stuff. We went to lunch and froze our butts off as it was probably 15 degrees or so and windy and snowing. We still had a good time.
Later that afternoon when Matt & Kristin were done skiing, we met up at the on site restaurant for some great conversation and appetizers and just hung out. AJ napped in my arms and was such a good boy!
We didn't know until the day before that our neighbors Summer & Guido would also be there so we all got together for dinner that night. The guys BBQ'd while I put AJ down and then met up with everyone for dinner. Thankfully we were able to use the video monitor so AJ could sleep and we could enjoy the evening. We had a fun time chatting, laughing and play Pictionary :)
Saturday Matt & Kristin skied and enjoyed their day while Jason and I went snowshoeing. It was our first time and it was FUN! We put AJ in the backpack. It was sunny and warm that day and it was SOOO beautiful! We really had a nice time.
Sunday, we had planned to go to breakfast and then hit the pool (the indoor pool!) but with AJ's nap schedule we didn't end up going to the pool. We ate at a great local place and then had to head home.
It was a WONDERFUL weekend that really seemed long- in a good way. I felt like I got to spend some quality time with my brother and Kristin and that they got to spend some time with AJ. We'll get to see each other again soon in 2 weeks when AJ and I head back out to California!

That looked like so much fun! So was it downhill skiing or cross country? Either way...looks like AJ was enjoying himself! I had no idea you guys were so outdoorsy! LOVED that you took AJ along. We are going skiing at Whistler this month but we are leaving Preston with my parents. For 3 days!!! Ahhhhh.
