Anderson Farms 2010

What a FUN day!!! AJ and I headed back to Anderson Farms- something that will be an annual event, for sure- with the Pick and Zambrano families and it was absolutely awesome! I love how each year these things just get more and more fun because AJ gets older and can really enjoy himself. He went on barrel cars with Samantha, "drove" many tractors, fed goats, picked two pumpkins in the pumpkin patch, ran thru a maze, and just got to have fun being a two year old. On top of that, he got to hang with some of his favorite friends, Samantha and Joe, Ashlyn, Kellyn and Braylon.

Here are some pics:

All the kids!

 One of AJ's highlights!
Learning how to milk a cow... AJ said, "Mom...the cow pooped!" hah!

Playing with Riley

Here are two short videos from last night. AJ LOVES Riley (who's 10) and you can see why. He's such a wonderful friend!

We Have Entered the "WHY" Phase...

AJ: Where's Buster?
Mom: He's sleeping.
AJ: Why?
Mom: Because he's tired
AJ: Why?
Mom: Because it's early
AJ: Why?
Mom: Because the sun isn't even up yet- AJ, do you want milk??? (gotta change the subject)

Mom: AJ, we're going to the pumpkin patch today with friends today!
AJ: Why?
Mom: Because it'll be a lot of fun!
AJ: Why?
Mom: Ugh...

AJ: Mom- playdough, RIGHT NOW!
Mom: That isn't nice
AJ: Why?
Mom: Because thats not the way you ask
AJ: Why?
Mom: I'm not getting you the playdough untill you ask nicely
AJ: Playdough please mom

Mom: AJ, be careful with the scissors
AJ: Why?
Mom: Because I don't want you to hurt yourself
AJ: Why?
Mom: ....nothing, I just walked away.

AJ: Mama, whatcha doing?
Mom: Printing something
AJ: Why?
Mom: Honey!!!

Keep in mind, it's 7:45am and all of these conversations happened within the last hour.... It's going to be a long day :)

AJ & Woody!

AJ loves Woody! (Toy Story)

AJ the Artist

For the past few weeks, AJ and Mamna have been going to this art class at the rec center called Abrakadoodle. I wish I could see him there, because I know he just loves it! There are 7 or 8 kids in the class and they paint, color, cut paper and use glue. Then, after they make their project, they stand up in front of everyone and talk about what they made. My mom told me that the first day, he was shy and didn't really want to stand up and talk, but since then, he loves to get up and talk about he "cut mamna (with the scissors, by accident)" and he did "dot, dot, dot" with the paint.

Here are a few pieces of AJ's art:

Thomas the Train

On Saturday, I took AJ to the Colorado Railroad Museum in Golden. I bought the tickets a month ago because Thomas the Train was there! He's only there a few weekends each year and I just knew AJ would love it. I thought it would be a really fun thing for us to do together.

We got to the museum about 10am and we had to park a few miles away and be bussed in. It didn't even occur to me that AJ had never been on a bus before. He LOVED it! He thought it was the best thing ever because he didn't have to be in the car seat and the windows are so big. It was a good start to our day. When we got there, it was time for us to ride the HUGE train. We took a 25 minute ride around the museum and AJ had a blast. He was waving to everyone and saying "Hi" to Thomas the whole time. After our ride, we walked around and checked out the other trains- he was able to climb on and go thru many of them- went to the petting zoo, checked out the firetruck and watched the miniature train track set up. It was an awesome day.
