AJ called Barney "Manny"- He loves Barney
When AJ gets what he wants- anything really, he will look at me and say, "Happy!" It's cute.
At bedtime, I'll pick up AJ and walk him upstairs and on our way up, he says "bye bye" to everyone- his trucks, tractor, lawnmower (which he calls his wa too too), and of course to Buster.
Any owie that I have, AJ will kiss- mwah! I have a lot of bruises...I get a lot of kisses.
I made AJ his first Mickey Mouse pancake today :) He didn't eat it, but it made him "Happy!"
He calls snow, ice.
A few weeks ago I bought AJ a set of three Winnie the Pooh books. He will ONLY read one of them. It's a book about Eeyore. Eeyore is sad because he lost his tale, so Pooh comes to help him find it. He brings all of his friends- Piglet, Tigger, Owl, Kanga, Roo and Rabbit. They all get together and turns out Eeyore finds his tale on his own. ANYWAY.... AJ will give Eeyore a kiss when he's sad, and he gets very excited when he finds his tale. It's pretty cute- but I'm sick of this book! haha
He calls my phone "Hello" :)

A Really Good Day
Finally! Yeah! We had a good day!
Let me back up a bit.... Things in this house have been tough for a while. Things have been even tougher in the past 2 weeks because I was sicker than a dog, and then AJ got sick. We were stuck in the house- and we are typically not in the house too much- and we weren't feeling well, and were cranky! I think at one point, AJ and I needed a break from each other. AJ was just such a pill- and only with me. I know it's going to happen, but this seemed to be EVERY SINGLE DAY. He would wake up in the morning at 5:30 and the first thing he would say to me- while still laying in his crib- was "NOOOOOOO". No to what??? I didn't even ask you a question! The few times we did see other people he would be great for them, but when I would come around, he was back to being super mean to me. It wasn't fun.
Today, we had a great day! We're both feeling a lot better and we were able to get out of the house and have fun. We started the day at Little Monkey Bizness- we haven't been there in a while. He was able to play with other kids, run around and just have fun. Then we ran some errands and he was pretty good then too. After his nap, we played with playdough and then did finger painting and took a bath. It was a wonderful day with my sweet little boy. I really missed him :)

Sick!
UGH! Being sick is NO FUN! I got sick over a week ago- I think I mentioned this in an entry last week- and as I figured, AJ got it too. I am so thankful that he's been a really happy, sick boy, but he's not sleeping well.
We have a really bad cough, sore throat and are super snotty! YUCK!
The worst part is that we had plans to go to California this weekend which we had to cancel. No sense in getting everyone else sick and being miserable on the road. Big bummer!
The good news is that we have plans to go to California to see Pop & Grammy Cory in 2 weeks and we WILL be better for that!

Sentences
They aren't long sentences, but he is saying them! And he's trying SO HARD to say new ones daily. I love watching AJ work really hard at new things. It's awesome to see him be so proud of himself. I am super proud of him!
Here are a few things he's been saying:
Bye Bye Choo Choo
Bye Bye Buster (it sounds like Bussus)
Bussus Eat
Hello Daddy
Juice esse? (please)
AJ pee pee (wet diaper)
He still says a lot of things in the wrong order, but I actually think he might know it's out of order when he says it because he keeps trying. For example, he'll say, "Eat Bussus" and then right after, he'll correct it with "Bussus eat".
I find that we can really have some pretty good conversations, so long as I can figure out what he actually means. Many times, what he says takes some time to figure out, but it's actually quite gratifying when I do.
The other thing he's been doing lately is telling these awesome stories. Of course, no one can figure out what he's saying, but he knows! He gets very excited and animated and will look at you like, "you know what I mean, right?"
