This little fella is into EVERYTHING! I just know that he's going to give me a run for my money...Even though she won't admit it, I think my mom must be chuckling inside...payback!

My First Haircut

Lately, I've been hearing my Mom & Dad talk about how my hair has been getting long- They wanted me to get a haircut, but I had no idea what that meant since I hadn't ever done it before. Would it hurt? How long would it take? What exactly would this all mean???

So, today my mom and Grandma took me this place called Jack & Jill Childrens salon and I was such a good boy! I sat patiently with Grandma for them to call my name.

And then when it was my turn, they let me sit in this super cool car.

Then this nice lady came over and put this blue shirt on me so she wouldn't get my clothes dirty. She gave me toys, let me play with her comb and told me not to worry; that everything would be just fine.

My mom and Grandma told me that I was a very brave boy. I only cried for a second when the lady brought out the shaver. The noise was a little scary.

The lady did some really funny things with my hair to make sure it was all cut correctly. I look pretty silly here!

About 20 minutes later, I was all done! I have to admit, I think I look pretty darn cute with my new haircut! My mom and Grandma think so too!

The nice lady gave me this certificate with a picture and a lock of hair for my mom to keep.

9 Months!

Today is AJ's 9 month birthday! I'm amazed at how quickly time passes. He truly has become a little boy in the past few weeks. He doesn't even look like a baby to me. While that makes me so sad because he's growing up so fast, it makes me so happy to see all the new things he can do. He really is evolving into his own person. He crawls, pulls himself up, plays so well with toys and other kids, screams, has 4 teeth and has an attitude!

We had AJ's 9 month check up this morning and he's doing GREAT! The doctor said there is nothing at all to be concerned with; that he's right on track. They gave him one shot and took some blood to check for anemia and he did so well! He cried a little with the shot (I can't blame him!) and didn't even realize that the nurse had poked his foot to get the blood.

The doctor told me again that he should be sleeping thru the night- like I don't know this!- but for now he's up about 2 times a night. I can deal with that for now.

Height: 27 1/2 inches (25th percentile)
